US Sailing and Goslings Rum have renewed their partnership for 2026 and 2027, reaffirming Goslings as the National Sponsor of US Sailing Adult Championships.

As part of the renewed agreement, Goslings will continue as the Official Rum and Ginger Beer of US Sailing, bringing its Dark ‘n Stormy cocktail to Adult Championship regattas and shoreside events nationwide for the next two years.

“US Sailing is excited to extend our partnership with Goslings,” said Charlie Enright, CEO of US Sailing, in a statement. “We’re proud to continue working together, and their premium rum portfolio and creative cocktail offerings will once again add a festive element to our Adult Championships.”

Founded in Bermuda more than 200 years ago, Goslings is the island’s oldest company and largest exporter, known for its portfolio of rums and ginger beer. It is best known as the originator of the Dark ‘n Stormy – a cocktail with deep maritime roots.

Seal the deal
A family-owned business for more than two centuries, Goslings is the only company that blends and bottles rum on Bermuda.

First exported to the United States in the 1980s, the brand’s flagship Goslings Black Seal Rum and Goslings Stormy Ginger Beer remain the essential ingredients in the trademarked Dark ‘n Stormy.

The cocktail’s signature appearance – resembling a storm cloud in a glass – and its sailor-inspired name have made it a favorite among maritime enthusiasts worldwide.

“Sailing has long been part of Goslings’ heritage, and as the Official Rum of Leisure, our place is in the moments of celebration that follow a day on the water,” said Malcolm L. Gosling, eighth-generation rum maker and president of Goslings Export Bermuda, in a statement.

“We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with US Sailing and continue supporting the Adult Championships,” he said.

Recipe for growth
Goslings will activate on-site at US Sailing Adult Championship events, where Championship participants and Race Officials over the age of 21 will receive a co-branded event hat and imbibe cocktails featuring Goslings Black Seal Rum and Stormy Ginger Beer.

The partnership will also extend across digital platforms, with US Sailing and Goslings collaborating on campaigns designed to engage sailing enthusiasts year-round.

Highlights include a “TGIF” social media series featuring Goslings’ cocktail recipes and the celebration of National Dark ‘n Stormy Day on June 9, complete with historical storytelling and giveaways of official Goslings merchandise.

Additional marketing elements will include new content on US Sailing’s official podcast, American Sailor, featuring recipe rundowns showcasing Goslings cocktails.

“We’re proud to be part of the camaraderie and connections that define sailing communities,” Mr. Gosling said.
